FIJET  celebrates 70 years promoting  international tourism on the Annual Congress

Our Federation is officially known as the World Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers in English, but it recognizes three official languages: French, English, and Spanish.

FIJET will celebrate its 70th anniversary on December 2nd, having been established in 1954 by journalists from France, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Greece.

The Congress will be held from October 29th to November 2nd on the cruise ship Costa Pacifica.

This anniversary year is significant for all members and policymakers of our Federation. The program will enable members to reflect on FIJET’s past and engage with its future while sailing in the Mediterranean and visiting countries where FIJET’s story began 70 years ago, such as France, Italy, and Spain.

Each year, at its annual World Congress, FIJET promotes a particular aspect of world tourism. The Congress, held in a different country each year, highlights an area of significant international interest in travel and tourism. We take pride in the success stories of our congresses held across the globe, including Argentina, Austria, Croatia, Egypt, Cuba, Greece, Hungary, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, and the USA. This year, the Congress will be a Mediterranean Cruise.

We look forward to welcoming all journalists and writers to the Congress, which will once again showcase FIJET’s impact on travel journalism, its development, and worldwide collaboration. FIJET contributes to world peace and security by fostering cooperation between nations through culture, education, and tourism, and by promoting the free exchange of ideas among international media and tourism professionals.

Registration for the Annual Congress 2024 is now open. Please see the program and conditions for participation.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
